Meet the Management
Jeff Scheper
\ CEO
Jeff began his career as a programmer and project manager for a
start-up software company that provided custom applications to the
consumer package goods industry. His early experience working
directly with top executives at Fortune 500 companies combined with
his strategic role in the software start-up provided valuable
insights into large and small business management at a young age.
Jeff leveraged his experience and entrepreneurial energy to found
Better Software Design and at the age of 26 was delivering custom
applications to Sears, Kraft Foodservice and others. It didn't take
long for Jeff to see that there was great potential to expand his
sole proprietorship and in 1996 Jeff, along with his mentor and
friend Jim Lagattuta, founded Prescient Development, Inc, which
later became Prescient Solutions.
As CEO, Jeff's role is to chart the course and manage the continued
strategic development of Prescient Solutions as we continue our
second decade of success.

Lagattuta
\ President & CFO
Jim started his career in sales in the consumer package goods
industry. He later gained valuable IT and entrepreneurial experience
and played a major role in the creation of a start-up software
company catering to that industry.
Jim moved into healthcare accepting a role as Director of Marketing
for a leading Chicago area healthcare system. Jim was involved in
practice development and imaging for physicians and the health
system. Jim was recruited away by his former software business
colleague and friend, Jeff Scheper, to start up Prescient.
Jim's role at Prescient Solutions is to oversee the financial,
operational (with Jerry Irvine) and strategic (with Jeff Scheper)
direction of the company. Jim is heavily involved in creating and
maintaining the management structure of Prescient and he prides
himself on his open door policy.
Jerry Irvine
\ CIO
MCSE, MCNE, CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, Cisco Wireless Professional
Jerry has been deeply involved with the IT industry since 1987. As a
result of Jerry's early experience he became an expert in Network
Communications and Protocols when others were just getting their
first computer. Armed with this expertise, Jerry entered the
consulting world working for companies like Network General and
Advantis performing detailed network analysis, design and
troubleshooting.
Since then Jerry has filled MIS and CIO positions at multiple
facilities, managing over 100 technicians and thousands of devices.
Jerry has led multiple project teams such as the largest Microsoft
Directory migration project ever with Canadian Bell and a WAN design
and implementation connecting over 2000 devices across 48 countries.
His expertise ranges across all layers of the OSI Model from
Physical to Application.
In 2008, Jerry was selected to join the National Cyber Security
Task Force, a joint operation between the Department of Homeland
Security and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This task force is
responsible for advising federal decision-makers on cyber security
policy and sharing best practices related to this urgent and ongoing
need.
Jerry's role as CIO at Prescient Solutions is to provide strategic
direction for all our clients via the definition of Industry Best
Practices, development of Standards and Policies, and implementation
of the highest quality of service. Jerry takes personal
responsibility for the level of IT expertise and quality Prescient
provides to each of our clients.
Tom Pettenon
\ COO, Client Service
Before joining Prescient Solutions, Tom enjoyed more than 20 years
of multi-industry experience including Transportation, Publishing,
Education, Finance and IT Professional Services. He has held
leadership positions in Product Development, Client Relations
Management, IT Operations, Service Management and Customer Service
for industry leading companies such as Rand McNally, Forsythe
Solutions, Comdisco, Aon Corporation and Computer Sciences
Corporation (CSC).
As Prescient Solutions’ COO, Client Service, Tom is responsible
for the continuous support and the overall satisfaction of our ever
expanding client base as well as coordinating our internal business
operations. With his wealth of experience Tom knows how to make
clients happy. He is the guy to call if there is ever a question,
comment or concern with any aspect of our service.
